ESPACE BALLON is pleased to invite you on an unforgettable journey through time and space. Our two balloon flight simulators will take you through the skies above Château-d’Oex and the Pays-d’Enhaut, every day of the year and in any season. You can also relive the fabulous history of balloons and human flight through our interactive exhibition.
This one-of-a-kind experience is offered in French, German and English, and is fully accessible to those with reduced mobility.

Grab your friends for an immersive 4D flight experience. Take off and explore the Pays-d’Enhaut with a spectacular, captivating 4D balloon flight through the four seasons.
Ultramagic Balloon Flight Simulator
Fly your balloon over the Pays-d’Enhaut. Hop on board one of our three Ultramagic baskets for a complete immersion in the sights, sensations and sounds of piloting your own hot-air balloon. This one-of-a-kind experience is suitable for those aged 14 and up.
The invention of flight’ exhibition
Set off on a journey through time and space to uncover the history of balloons and man’s conquest of the sky. From Pilâtre de Rozier’s first flight in 1783 to the round-the-world trip in a balloon by Bertrand Piccard and Brian Jones, which took off from Château-d’Oex in 1999.
Children
Young visitors will be guided by Maestro, the wise old man from the French cartoon series ‘Once Upon a Time...’. Children will receive their own logbook to guide them around the exhibition, filled with surprises, discoveries and activities for the whole family.
Private hire
From 6:00 pm onwards, ESPACE BALLON is available to hire for groups, businesses or organisations, for up to 100 people. Guests can take part in a virtual flying competition to crown the evening’s best pilot.
